Midnight Sun is a companion novel to Stephenie Meyer's popular vampire romance series, "The Twilight Saga.

The story is told from the perspective of Edward Cullen, the vampire who falls in love with Bella Swan.

Originally envisioned as a companion to the first Twilight novel, Meyer shelved it due to the leak of an early draft in 2008. Reworks and revisions on the novel were made in the following years before it was finally published in 2020.
