ECT from DSWD, Uncertainty over China

DAVAO CITY, Philippines - Residents of Davao City affected by the recent calamities are set to receive Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
According to the DSWD, eligible beneficiaries will receive a one-time cash assistance of 5,000 pesos to help them cope with the aftermath of the disasters.
Meanwhile, a recent survey revealed that around 60% of Dabawenyos are uncertain about accepting aid from China. The survey, conducted by a local university, found that concerns over safety and transparency were among the reasons for the uncertainty.
